We are the Pi Chapter of Theta Tau, the oldest and largest professional engineering fraternity in the nation, located at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Founded over 100 years ago, Theta Tau has grown to be the premier professional engineering fraternity in the US with over 86 active chapters and colonies around the nation. We host several events around Grounds throughout the year, so feel free to come out to those and talk to a brother if you have any questions regarding our brotherhood or Theta Tau. 

We seek motivated, ambitious, and energetic engineering students at the University of Virginia that are interested in preparing professionally for a future in engineering  with a motivation for helping others and the community, and becoming integral parts and a strong foundation upon which the fraternity is founded.

Our brothers make a difference in the UVA and greater Charlottesville area communities. We volunteer with our national philanthropy, Habitat for Humanity, as well as with other organizations and initiatives around Grounds for the betterment of the community. 

Professional Development

Our brothers help each other prepare for a successful future in leadership and entrepreneurship within the field of  engineering, the profession of innovation and ingenuity, with academic support, expanding networks, and career advice.

Brotherhood

Our brothers represent a wide diversity of students in the School of Engineering at the University of Virginia. Coming from all backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, they fuse as one family in the bonds of fraternal fellowship.
