BROTHERHOOD

The ultimate goal of brotherhood is to aid in the bonding of all Theta Tau Pi brothers, both on a large and a small scale. As a professional engineering fraternity, we acknowledge that it is imperative that we aim to be a very united group of colleagues as well as friends. We accomplish this by hosting a variety of events throughout each semester, including:

• Formal

  • Each semester we host a formal event where all brothers and potential new members are invited to dress their best and join us for a fun evening of connection with the fraternity. This event has proven to be a wonderful opportunity for new members to form a stronger bond with the fraternity.

• Intramural Sports

  • While it can be easy to become centrally focused on schoolwork, we encourage exercise and fun through a variety of intramural sports. We have done volleyball and soccer in past semesters, and would like to expand out into other sports.

• Basketball Watch Nights

  • One of our less structured activities, we often have nights where we watch live UVA basketball games on TV. This is one of our favorite events, as it is bonding both as a university and as a fraternity.

• Foxfield

  • Theta Tau Pi also attends the annual Foxfield Horse Races in the spring, which is an enjoyable day of both watching the races and spending time with the brothers in the beautiful spring weather.

• Informal Events

  • Our brothers love to spend time with one another outside of the more structured events listed above! This can be anything from studying classes together, grabbing lunch or dinner, going on hikes, etc.
